Huron County Child Care Waitlist One application. One list.
You must apply for child care prior to completing your child care subsidy application.
To Continue, click Apply to Programs below or Cancel to return to the Home screen.
Welcome to the Huron County Child Care Registry and Waitlist
The Waitlist is an online directory that helps families find licensed childcare programs in the County of Huron.
By filling out a single application form, you can connect with multiple childcare programs to express your interest in enrolling your child.
To apply for licensed child care, please follow the instructions below to create an account or log into your existing account to update your child care selection.
Due to the high demand for childcare spaces, and each childcare provider's waitlist policies, procedures, and priorities, adding your child’s name to the Huron County Child Care Waitlist website does not guarantee a spot on your preferred start date.
Log into your account regularly to update and remain active or to cancel your application if you no longer need a childcare space.
OneHSN will send out regular emails and you must follow the instructions provided to ensure your child’s application remains active on the waitlist. These emails may be in your junk or spam folder.

Finding Quality Programs
Licensed child care programs must meet and maintain specific provincial standards, set out in the Child Care and Early Years Act. These standards provide for the health, safety and developmental needs of children. For more information on licensed child care programs, please visit the Ministry of Education's website at http://www.edu.gov.on.ca/childcare/.
Currently there are three types of regulated early learning and child care programs available on OneHSN Childcare Connect:
Centre-Based – includes child care centres and nursery schools; all are licensed by the Ministry of Education, Child Care and Quality Assurance and Licensing Branch;
Home-Based – caregivers provide care for up to six children within their own homes under contract with the County of Huron (licensed by the Ministry of Education, Child Care and Quality Assurance and Licensing Branch)
School-Based – before and after school programs are offered for children attending full day kindergarten and also children up to grade 6; these programs are regulated by the Ministry of Education
Click the “Find Child Care Now” tab to see a map of child care centres in your area.
Your Application
The County of Huron is pleased to offer OneHSN Childcare Connect, an online centralized childcare registry and information service that simplifies the process of applying for child care.
You may apply to as many child care programs as you like. By applying online, you do not need to contact multiple child care programs. Complete and submit an online application to register for any of the child care options. Once your account has been created, you will need to provide information about you and your family on the application form. The information you provide will be used to suggest child care options. OneHSN Child Care Connect places your child’s application on the waitlist only, this does not confirm that you have a spot at the child care centre. The child care provider will contact you when a space becomes available. For an instructional video to assist with the application process, please click here.
You will receive a notice every month reminding you to log in and ensure your information is correct and your applications reflect your needs. If you do not log in after 90 days, your account will be automatically disabled.
