Licensed child care programs must meet and maintain specific provincial standards, set out in the Child Care and Early Years Act. These standards provide for the health, safety and developmental needs of children. Homelessness Prevention & Children's Services
Lambton County currently has Purchase of Service agreements with 60 agencies throughout the County, as well as Purchase of Service agreements with two home child care agencies to provide home child care options for parents who work a variety of hours.
Through the Purchase of Service agreements, the Social Planning & Children's Services Department ensures agencies maintain a current licence with the Ministry of Education. Agencies are also responsible for providing proof of proper insurance, as well as current fire and health inspections.

As there are many home-based child care programs in the region, the application does not list individual programs. If you are interested in home child care, we recommend that you use the manual selection feature to add yourself to the waitlist for the agency.
