Welcome to the City of Greater Sudbury Child Care Registry Site.
Congratulations on taking the first step in choosing quality licensed child care for your family. The Child Care Registry was designed to make it easier for families to find and apply for licensed child care. By submitting the centralized application you can place your child's name on the list for any of the licensed child care programs and licensed family homes in Greater Sudbury that are part of the Greater Sudbury Child Care and Early Learning System.

Admissions and Wait Lists
Please be advised that each child care operator manages it's own admissions and wait list policies. Applying for a program on the Child Care Registry does not guarantee your child's admission. You can contact child care operators individually to check your child's status on their list.
NOTE about age groups
When you select a child care centre, you will be added to the list for the age group that your child is eligible for on your preferred start date. If your child changes age groups (i.e moves from infant age to toddler age) before they are placed, the system will automatically move them up to the correct group and will maintain their priority on the list. You do NOT need to go back in to add them to the next age group up. However, when your child will be starting school and will need before and after school care, you should add your child's name to the Before and After School lists for the programs that serve your child's school. You can do this as soon as you know what school your child will be attending.
Child Care Subsidy
Applying for child care centres on the Child Care Registry also does NOT automatically trigger an application for Child Care Subsidy. To apply for a subsidy, please call the City of Greater Sudbury at 705-674-4455 ext 4279. Immunization Reporting for Child Care
Children require vaccinations to attend child care centres, or they require a valid exemption. Parents and guardians must keep their child’s record up-to-date with Public Health Sudbury & District. Please report your child’s immunizations. The online tool is available on the Health Unit’s website at https://www.phsd.ca/features-services
